Our Story
How It All Started
Iki Ramen was born out of a simple obsession: making ramen worth crossing town for. We opened on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood because we wanted to be where the energy is — surrounded by people who are curious, hungry, and open to something new.
Our name, "Iki" (粋), is a Japanese word that's hard to translate. It's somewhere between "effortlessly cool" and "refined simplicity." That's what we aim for in every bowl — nothing flashy, nothing unnecessary, just really good food made with intention.
What We Believe
Great ramen isn't complicated. It's patience. It's the right bones simmered the right number of hours. It's noodles with texture and broths with depth. We source humanely raised meats, craft our broths in-house daily, and treat every ingredient like it matters — because it does.
We're also not just a ramen shop. Our sushi program, sake selection, and Japanese comfort food menu mean you can come in for a quick bowl at lunch and come back for a full dinner experience the same week. That's the idea.
The Neighborhood
We're right on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood — easy to find, plenty of street parking (metered spots nearby), plus one hour free in our building lot. Come before the dinner rush or embrace the buzz. Either way, we'll have a seat for you.
